My name is Shirley and I am the owner and face behind the brand Beauty with Shirley.
I am a HR Professional by day and Permanent Makeup Artist by night.I have always been a perfectionist and have a keen eye for detail. I have a strong passion in what I do and I love helping women feel even more beautiful and confident by simply enhancing their natural beauty. I always educate my clients on the best brow shape and colour that best suits their skin and face shape. I take pride in all my work.
I have a background in Esthetics and now I am certified in the Powder Ombré technique as well as the Blood Borne Pathogens in preventing cross contamination.
Our goal at Beauty with Shirley is to help everyone feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. If you are someone who is busy and has very little time in the morning, or if you are a person who wears minimal to no makeup, powder ombre brows is the key for you. These are life changers! You will save so much time in the morning trying to draw your brows in evenly. Our mission is to have you leaving the studio feeling and looking the best version of yourself. HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT ARTIST FOR YOU
Picking the right artist is so important. Let me tell you why
This is a very big commitment that will be on your face for a very long time, so please do intensive research before booking your appointment with anyone. Ask all the questions you need.
One thing to think about is the long term cost rather than the short term cost.
What does this mean? It mean that you shouldn't look for an artist just because they are cheaper. In the long run, this might even cost you much more by having to get them fixed, removed, etc.
When looking for the right artist, don't only look at the immediate results. Everyones immediate results can be nice.
Things to look for when booking an appointment with an brow artist:
- Are they professional
- Do all of your questions / concerns get answered with knowledge (you want someone who knows what they are talking about)
- Do they rush you into booking an appointment with them (you don't want someone who is pushy)
- Healed results
- Reviews / Testimonials
I can't stress this enough. Do your research.
This can be the best investment if you choose the right artist.
PRIOR TO BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT
Prior to booking an appointment, all clients must provide the following:

Virgin brows : Yes/No
Age
Three clear photos of your full face with no makeup on eyebrows.

Photo Submission requirements:
- Photos must be free of filters or any makeup
- Clear photos with good lighting
- Photo of yourself with head slightly left, centered facing forward, and head lightly right
- Must inform me if any prior work has been done on your eyebrows (regardless of how old or faded the tattoo is)
- Please include “Correction” in your text / email
Failure to provide all required information prior to booking your appointment may result in a forfeit of deposit and cancellation of appointment.

SERVICES OFFERED
Powder Ombre Brows - $350
This is for new set only meaning no previous work done on the eyebrows.
VIRGIN BROWS ONLY.
Correction - $400-$450
This is for those who have ANY previous work done on their eyebrows from another artist.
Including microblading / combo / powder ombré.
Whether it has been 2 years or 10 years. It is still a correction.
You MUST consult and send photos first before booking your appointment and sending a deposit. Deposits are all non-refundable.
powder ombre vs microblading
I currently only offer Powder Ombré & Corrections.
Powder Ombré is also known as Ombré Shading. It is semi-permanent procedure known for the powdery and filled in air brush makeup look once it is healed. This type of technique creates pixelated dots to mimic powder filled brows with no harsh front or outline. It is a gradient blend that is dark in the tail and fades lighter closer to the bulb (front). It is created by using a single point needle to insert the pigments into the upper layer of skin in a stippling/poking technique.
Powder Ombré is NOT Microblading. (not my work)
The biggest difference between the two techniques is how pigment is deposited into the skin. Microblading uses a pen-like hand tool to carve small cuts into your skin that resembles hair strokes. Microblading is also more invasive to the skin if not done correctly and has a higher chance of scarring due to the cuts. Whereas the Powder Ombré technique uses a single needle depositing pigment into the skin in hundreds of tiny dots that create the pixelated powdery effect.
Powder Ombré is becoming more popular that those who have gotten Microblading before generally prefers the more filled in look as Microblading doesn't last as long.
